Welcoming Our Newly Approved Deacons
We are praising God for His continued guidance and provision in the life of our church!
Following a church-wide vote, last night, the congregation has officially accepted the recommendation of the Deacon Board to call four men to serve a three-year term as Deacons:
- Jerry Jones
- Ron Kostoff
- Herod Spangler
- Patrick McLymont
We are deeply grateful for these men and their willingness to answer God’s call to servant leadership. Please keep them and their families in prayer as they embark on this season of ministry and spiritual oversight.
Because Patrick McLymont has not previously been ordained as a deacon, we will be holding a special Ordination Sunday on Sunday, October 25th.
We invite our church family to join us as we set Patrick apart for this ministry:
- Ordination Council: 5:00 PM (Members of the council will meet to examine the candidate, ordained deacons and pastors are welcome)
- Ordination Ceremony: 6:00 PM (A congregational service of blessing, prayer, and laying on of hands)
- Reception: Immediately following the ceremony in the fellowship hall.
Please join us in celebrating what the Lord is doing in our congregation and showing your support for Patrick and his family during this special milestone!
