Pastor Search Committee Update #7

The Pastor search committee met on Sunday afternoon, Oct 12th. We narrowed the applicant pool down to five men. The five have been provided, via email, an information packet with some statistics about our church and our geographic region. They have also been sent a copy of the brochure the church has available for anyone to get more information about our church. The email included a personal letter asking each of the five men if they are still interested in the Senior pastor position.

We are still in the process of formulating a more detailed questionnaire, which will eventually be sent to each of these five candidates. After considering and praying over their respective responses, we will most likely conduct an interview via Zoom, telephone or in person as appropriate.

We believe we are on track and moving forward. As I have repeatedly stressed; God is the One ultimately in control. We greatly value, need and appreciate your prayers as we move forward in this process. I would add if you care to pray here at the church, the sanctuary will be open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday thru Wednesday.

In the OT, Ezra proclaimed a fast in order that they might humble themselves before God, and to seek from Him the right way. I don’t think any of us is opposed to fasting if the Lord leads you in that manner as well. Ezra 8
