Deacon Nominations
We had twenty-five men nominated to be a Deacon at First Baptist Church LaBelle. The present Deacon Body has been praying over this list and decided to approach 3 men to serve as a deacon for a three-year term. Two of the three accepted the nomination and declined. The body had chosen an alternate in case one of the men turned us down. The alternate was asked, and he accepted.
In September at a special called Church Conference these three men will be presented to the church for a vote. The date for the Church Conference will be announced soon. The men that will be presented to the church are Brad Smith, Ron Zimmerly and James Maddox. The church will get the opportunity to vote yes or no for the whole group.
