Our church is entering a new phase which will begin with the building of our new education wing to replace our current structure. This will require financial commitments by our entire church's membership. But more than money, this project will need prayer. In fact, prayer is much more important that the money because any project undertaken without prayer is doomed to fail. This is a prayer calendar to help guide you when you are praying for our capital stewardship and building projects. You can check this web page daily to get your prayer for the day or you can have it emailed to you daily.

How Beautiful Are Your Feet?

Sunday, May 30, 2010
Verse:  Romans 10:15
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Personal Reflection:

None of us consider our feet to be beautiful. However, God’s Word indicates that those who bring others the gospel (the good news) have beautiful feet.

In God’s overall plan, He has given us as believers a tremendous command and responsibility. In the very familiar passage of the Great Commission, Jesus has commanded us as a church to go, evangelize, and disciple all people groups.  God, in His sovereignty, has chosen the Church to be the avenue of how the world will hear about Him. We have two responsibilities as a church – to go and to actively send.

Just think how much more our church could do in this area, if we only had more money to spend on evangelism and mission opportunities. As you give your pledges to eliminate our debt, please consider your role in the Great Commission.

Prayer:

Lord, help us as a church to take the Great Commission seriously. We pray that you will consider our feet to be beautiful because we have brought good news to a lost and dying world.

Capital Stewarship Update

Friday, May 28, 2010
In December 2008 we kick off our Capital Stewardship Campaign to raise money to pay off the bonds that we took out to pay for the construction of our new education building.  In that Campaign people pledged over $800,000 towards the debt on our new building.  As of April of 2010 we have received over $500,000 towards the debt of our new building.  Each member is asked to be in prayer that we are able to reach our pledges that were committed to by December 2010.

Each month we pay close to $13,000 to our bond debt.  We pay this money out of what we have collected from our Capital Stewardship Campaign.  If you have not made a pledge or commitments to our Capital Stewardship Campaign consider giving to it so we can pay down our bond debt as soon as possible.  Please keep this in your prayers.

God has been so good to us!
