Update on Opening

Dear Members and Friends,

We are still waiting to hear what our Governor is going to say about the stay at home order.  We feel if the stay at home order is lifted there will be guidelines for getting back in the public and meeting gatherings.  Presently our preschool has guidelines where we can only have 10 people in a room.  We don’t know if we will be limited to a number in a room or social distancing which would affect our Sunday School and Church services. We also know that some people or families will opt to not come out at this time, which we completely understand.  We must understand that there are some groups of people who are still vulnerable to this virus and will not be able to return at this time.

At this point, we are planning to have our Google Meet Prayer Service, Wednesday, April 29 at 7 pm.  We will also be Live Streaming our Service on Sunday, May 3rd (Facebook and YouTube) at 11 am.  We are hoping to have Morning Worship on May 10th in our Sanctuary at 8:30 am and 11 am unless the Governor extends the stay at home order.  Please understand there are many components to this.

Here are some things we will be doing differently when we come back to worship in the sanctuary.  The main doors of the church will be open so people will not need to touch them.  Offering plates will be placed at the doors to drop your offering in.  Bulletins will be placed on a podium in the back of the sanctuary for you to get one if you choose.  (They will still be emailed to you).  Hand Sanitizer stations will be placed in key places in our sanctuary and education building.  When we start back Sunday School we most likely will have to set up rooms differently, to obey the social distancing rules (Maybe no tables).  We will need to do more cleaning between services in order to keep our church family and our preschool family safe.

Please be patient with us as we make these changes.
